Scrum Master In Scrum, a Scrum Master holds a servant-leader role rather than a traditional authoritative role. Their primary responsibility is to guide, coach, and facilitate the Scrum team in adhering to the Scrum framework, removing impediments, and helping the team continuously improve. They do not have direct authority over the team members or make decisions for them. The Scrum team is not obliged to do as the Scrum Master asks if the requests are outside the Scrum framework or principles.
